Amending the Current Prescription

The Amend function opens prescriptions in the Amend mode, allowing you to make changes to the current prescription. Changes cannot affect billing therefore the quantity, days supply, pricing fields and doctor cannot be changed.

Amend is available for status Complete, Hold, Amend and Amend Next prescriptions.

Note: Amend can be invoked using the keyboard shortcut ALT A in the Correct Rx window.

You can select a prescription to amend by:

• Amending a Prescription from the Workbench
• Amending a Prescription from the Patient Folder
• Amending a Prescription by Entering the Rx Number
